LIVE FISH PURCHASE POLICIES
Eligibility & Order Review
Submitting the Live Fish Buyer Eligibility form is a request only. It does not reserve fish, confirm availability, approve a buyer, or create an order. Written approval from Nagging Nette Urban Aquaponic Farm is required before any live-fish sale.
Local Pickup
Live fish are available for local pickup only unless shipping is confirmed in writing. Pickup is by appointment. Buyers must bring a properly sized, insulated, secure container and transport fish directly to their prepared system.
Buyer Legal Responsibility
The buyer is responsible for verifying and following all state and local possession, transport, stocking, and permit requirements. Nagging Nette Urban Aquaponic Farm may decline a sale when legal or animal-welfare requirements are not satisfied.
No Release & Biosecurity
Never release live fish or allow them to escape into public waters, storm drains, or natural waterways. Do not dump transport water outdoors or into storm drains. Use dedicated equipment when possible, quarantine new fish, and clean and disinfect equipment between systems.
System Readiness
Before pickup, the buyer must have a properly sized, fully cycled, heated, aerated, filtered, and secure system ready for the fish.
Acclimation
Keep fish shaded and temperature-stable during transport and go directly home. Float the sealed bag to equalize temperature. Gradually mix small amounts of tank water according to pickup instructions. Net fish into the system without adding transport water. Keep lights low and observe fish closely for 24–48 hours.
Approved Shipping & DOA
Shipping is not available unless approved in writing. When shipping is approved, carrier, weather limits, reporting deadlines, required photos or video, replacement or credit terms, and exclusions will be stated before payment. There is no live-arrival guarantee for unapproved shipping.
Policy Notice
Fish health, weather, carrier conditions, and legal requirements may require Nagging Nette Urban Aquaponic Farm to delay, reschedule, or cancel a sale. These policies are not legal advice.
